Description


Special transparent base without phthalates for printing the effect of glitter, as well as to create other special effects. When mixed with glitter, Nova Base penetrates through the fabric, leaving the glitter open and firm to the touch. Nova Base allows the glitter to maintain sharpness and Shine when printing on light and dark fabrics.

Recommended tension: 25-35 N/cm.

Hardness: three-layer 65/90/65 Sh.

Capillary film: 200-400 microns.

Printed gap: 2 mm.

The drying parameters

Intermediate drying: 70 °C (160°F).

Final drying: 160 °C (320°F).

Printing guidelines


• To obtain the desired shade, you need to add pigment concentrates PC MX.

• To achieve the desired surface effects, it is necessary to adjust the drying parameters.

• When mixing additives, a particle size of 20 microns is recommended.

• Recommended blend, 70-80% Nova Base and 20-30% glitter. Be sure to completely stir the glitter in the base.

• For the best effect, print a mixture of Nova Base and glitter directly on the fabric using the recommended grids.

• Check the surface temperature of the print.

 

Special recommendation


• Test for drying are required prior to beginning the print run. Insufficient or excessive drying will result in poor stability of the print to wash, and poor adhesion of paint. The temperature on the surface of the impression with intermediate and final drying must be monitored with a pyrometer or other means.

• Responsibility for the correct selection of paint to a printing material lying on the technologist or the printer responsible for making paint and printing options.

• Test before launch into production. Improper drying of the paint may cause poor resistance to washing, insufficient adhesion, unacceptable durability and increased likelihood of dye migration.

• Do not use Nova Base as the base for glitter or adhesive base.

• Supplement too many Kohler pigment or ink can lead to a change in printing properties.

• Change the drying temperature during printing will affect the surface texture and the tactile sensation of print.

• Stir the product before printing.

• The printed image cannot be subjected to dry cleaning, bleaching, and Ironing with a hot iron.

• For any application not referred in this manual, necessary to carry out preliminary tests or to consult a specialist.
