Description


Geo Opal Paste - stencil paint to achieve a special effect "burning" of textiles. Effects full burn and partial burn when printing on fabrics is achieved the same way by adding a colorful base Geo Opal Opal Paste activator Salt and a wetting agent Wetting TM/S, improving the penetration of dye in the textile cut pieces or finished product.

The effect of full burning - is obtained by screen printing on 100% organic cotton. Paint completely destroys the fabric in the printed areas.

The effect of the partial burning will in screen printing on semi-synthetic tissues which are based on synthetic. Paint destroys the natural component of tissue, leaving only the synthetic fibers. The cotton component of the textile is destroyed during drying in the tunnel drying device for removing the destroyed remnants requires washing of the printed product.

31-48 threads/cm, depending on the type of printing.

Recommended tension: 25-35 N/cm.

The drying parameters

Intermediate drying: 93-99 °C.

Final drying: 140 °C, 3 minutes.

Supplements

Thinner: Reducer 77, Jet Reducer to 3% by weight.

Retarder: Hydracryl Retarder - up to 5% by weight.

Retainer: Special Fixer for resistance to washing up to 10% by weight.

Storage

Store at temperature 18-32º C.

Printing guidelines


• to prepare the base for printing recommended:

• Geo Opal Paste, 62% by weight;

• Activator: Opal Salt, additive and 12% by weight;

• Water: Supplement 24% by weight;

• Wetting agent: Wetting TM/S, additive 2% by weight;

• Recommended mix 1 kg: dissolve 120 grams Opal Salt 250 grams of water, and then mix the resulting solution with 620 grams of Geo Opal Paste. Then add 20 grams of Wetting TM/S and mix thoroughly;

• For best results, follow the recommended printing parameters and the number of grids;

• avoid excessive pressure on the squeegee when printing;

• exact drying times cannot be given due to objective differences in power, distance to the heating element of drying, as well as the thickness of the applied layer of paint;

• when recommended meshes with an intermediate or minimum diameter of the filament;

• to optimize the printing process use a well-strained shape;

• before printing, necessary in dye to add 3-5% thinner Reducer 77, which prevents the thickening of the ink on the printed form, for subsequent dilution to use only the diluent Jet Reducer (1-3%);

• Hydracryl retarder Retarder helps to improve the stability of the paint on the stencil. Additive of 3-5% in the paint;

• to improve resistance to washing, a possible Supplement of up to 5-10% Special Fixer. The mixture's work time is limited to 8-10 hours;

Special recommendation


• test for drying are required prior to beginning the print run. Insufficient or excessive drying will result in poor stability of the print to wash, and poor adhesion of paint. The temperature on the surface of the impression with intermediate and final drying must be monitored with a pyrometer or other means;

• responsibility for the correct selection of paint to a printing material lying on the technologist or the printer responsible for making paint and printing options;

• decrease the viscosity of the paint (when diluted) affects opacity;
